We are hiring Security Officers for two long-term hospital redevelopment projects in Burnaby and New Westminster. In this role, you’ll help maintain a secure construction environment inside hospital facilities, supporting safe operations for staff and healthcare workers.

Temporary, full-time, long-term coverage roles for two hospital redevelopment projects, starting mid-2025 and forecasted for completion in 2026.
We are hiring Security Officers for two long-term hospital redevelopment projects in Burnaby and New Westminster. In this role, you’ll help maintain a secure construction environment inside hospital facilities, supporting safe operations for staff and healthcare workers.
Positions Available:
Temporary, full-time, long-term coverage roles for two hospital redevelopment projects, starting mid-2025 and forecasted for completion in 2026.
Pay Rate: $23.58/hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (0700 - 1900hrs or 1900 - 0700hrs) on set days of the week (ex. Sun-Tues), including weekends and statutory holidays

You're a great fit if you are:
- Comfortable working in a healthcare and construction setting (bonus points if you have previous work experience in either environment!)
- Confident using radios and phones to communicate
- Physically capable of performing all the job duties, including performing patrols, standing for the majority of the shift, and remaining alert during 12-hour shifts
- Holding a valid BC Security Worker License
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Able to complete 5-7 days of mandatory site training during office hours
- Comfortable wearing PPE (ex. hard hat and safety boots) while on shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol construction areas within hospital grounds
- Respond to alarms and emergencies
- Monitor access and enforce site protocols
- Document incidents in accurate, detailed reports
- Provide directions and guidance to navigate the facility
- Assist contractors, staff, and site supervisors as needed
