We are looking for a driven individual to join our finance team and be a key member of our Financial Reporting department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a busy work environment, proficiency working with ERP software and a willingness to learn.  We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude who takes pride in their work and is looking to grow their career with one of Canada’s best managed companies. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Full-cycle accounting: reconciling key accounts, month-end close and developing supporting working papers.
  • Maintain financial, accounting and records management systems 
  • Identify internal and system control risks and assists with the development and documentation of new processes to enhance the workflow of various departments including Information Technology (IT), Finance and Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and Human Resources
  • Provides options and recommendations for the implementation of new policies and practices 
  • Assist with implementing improvements to financial controls and procedures 
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve requests from operational teams by adhering to accounting and business policies
  • Become a key resource for employees nationally in the operation of our specialized ERP software, including responding to issues and requests as necessary
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as required 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Consideration to pursue CPA professional accounting designation
  • Minimum of 1-4 years progressive accounting experience 
  • Track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
  • A collaborative approach to leading an accounting team in finding creative solutions to daily issues
  • Demonstrated ability in leading teams to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and month-end close processes
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
