Reporting to the Area Security Lead, the Site Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and monitoring of all security related duties for their team, which they are in charge of. They are to ensure that all security operations are adhered to and that policies and procedures of both the client and Paladin Security Group are followed.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600hrs
Pay Rate: $26.67/hour
Start Date: July 1st, 2025
End Date: November 5th, 2025 (Full-time - Temporary)

Responsibilities:
  • The Site Supervisor shall supervise the Security Officers assigned to their site and act as a resource for security issues in accordance with Paladin Security Group, Hospital standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure guidelines and standards for security staff are adhered to, including the inspection of officers’ Security Licenses. All officers must hold a current, valid Security License. If one or more officers should fail to do so, the Area Security Lead must be contacted immediately for further instruction.
  • The Site Supervisor is responsible for maintaining staffing levels for the site.  All security staff members are to be directed by the Site Supervisor/ Site Security Lead to be attired professionally and in a manner consistent with Paladin’s policies on dress and deportment.
  • Site Supervisors are requested to carry out daily duties which are; checking emails and answering any pressing issues, discussing any events that may have happened with the previous shifts, meeting with outgoing and oncoming shifts for personal or site discussions, ensuring daily paperwork has been completed.
  • Daily paperwork, which includes sign in sheets and incident reports, filled out overtime have been checked, authorized and are documented and written properly.
  • The Site Supervisor is responsible for final interviewing of potential staff members and organizing their training.  They must also ensure the potential employees paperwork is completed and their training, once completed, is properly reviewed.  The Site Supervisor must ensure that the training officer is also kept abreast of any changes operationally and that the training manual is completed and updated as needed.
  • Vacation requests must be taken in a timely fashion and allowed only if there are no scheduling conflicts that would incur overtime.
  • Supervise and assist the Security Officers with responsibilities delegated to them.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills and safety inspections without fail, maintain records and prepare incident reports, and other safety and security incident documentation.
  • Coordinate monthly fire extinguisher inspections, maintain records and prepare replacement/service reports, and other safety and security incident documentation.
  • Conduct monthly Panic Alarm System tests without fail, maintain records and prepare incident reports, and other safety and security incident documentation.
  • Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period.
  • There will also be unscheduled and scheduled meetings to attend, last minute bookings for sick employees, and coverage of shifts if necessary.
  • While on shift, or when notified, the Site Supervisor will respond to all emergencies and take command of the situations as they pertain to the contract until the Area Security Lead can attend. 
  • The Site Supervisor conduct monthly fire safety inspections, maintain records and prepare incident reports, and other safety and security incident documentation.
  • The Site Supervisor shall coordinate monthly fire extinguisher inspections, maintain records and prepare replacement/service reports, and other safety or security documentation.
  • The Site Supervisor shall maintain an information system of activities from site patrol activity reports and produce related statistics and reports.
  • Perform any and all other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of one year security experience, or a combination of experience and relevant education
  • Must currently hold an Intermediate First Aid (IFA) certificate and be willing to complete re-certification as required
  • Must have prior leadership skills and experience
  • Must adhere to and be familiar with PSG OH&S standards and requirements
  • Completion of PSG Supervisor modules and all PSG healthcare training requirements would be considered an asset

This is a Temporary / Seasonal position 1st Shift.
