DESCRIPTION:
The Supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of duties on each shift. The Supervisor will work closely with the Site Coordinator to identify and address any issues and concerns or any areas of improvement.
Position Details:
Position: | Full-Time Site Supervisor
Site: | St. Joseph's Care Group Facilities
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: | Monday to Friday (0730-1530) plus potential to be on call
Pay Rate: | $27.00 / hour

DUTIES:
- Make sure all reports are completed properly and copies are delivered to the appropriate manager(s). Report any/all major incidents
- Report all faulty equipment to the maintenance department
- Maintain an orderly security office with proper filing system
- Maintain good communications with all staff
- Supervise all Security Staff activities
- Explain team goals and objectives to guards and assist the team in organization to accomplish goals
- Coach, facilitate, solve work problems, and participate in the work of the team
- Provide information to the Client Service Manager on performance of the team and individuals
- Communicate assignments, special events and deadlines based on supervisory instructions
- Enforce the security policies and procedures of the facility
- Coach, mentor and train all staff to ensure they have adequate knowledge of equipment, polices and procedures and to maintain a high level of customer service
- Handles all complaints and keeps the client’s Security Representative informed of secured issues, which require attention
- Oversee and manage all CCTV footage for St. Joseph's Care Group Facilities locations
- Other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
- Valid G class Driver License
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services preferred
- Own vehicle to commute to various St. Joseph's Care Group Facility sites
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
