Position Details:
Position: | Part-Time Security Guard
Site: | Flex N’ Gate
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: | Saturday and Sunday (2300-0700)
Payrate: | $ 18.00 / hour
Posting Date: May 14, 2025

Key responsibilities:
-Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
-Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
-Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
-Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
-Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.
-Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
-Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
-Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
-Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
-Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
-Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.
-Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
-Client liaison
-Vehicle maintenance
- Completing extensive foot patrols of all 6 facilities each shift, both exterior and interior
Prerequisites:
-Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
-Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
-Covid Vaccine two doses
-Valid G class Driver License
- Clean Driving Abstract
-English (oral and written) fluency is a must
-Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
-Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
- Authorized to work legally in Canada
Certification Requirements (All)
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
Valid G Licence
