Paladin is proud to be providing security services for major events happening this summer at various job sites throughout Vancouver, including FIFA event venues, government facilities, malls, campuses, and more. 

Starting Pay Rate: $25/hr+ 

Shifts are expected to begin in April/May 2026, and we will have full-time, part-time, and casual/on-call opportunities. These will be on a temporary contract ending August 31, 2026. At the end of the contract, employees will be assessed based on performance for potential permanent opportunities.    

As part of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining safety, order, and a positive guest experience. You’ll work alongside local municipalities, police services, emergency responders, and event management teams to ensure the safety of all attendees, staff, and participants.    

Responsibilities:    

  • Manage access control, verify credentials, check tickets/IDs, screen bags and personal items
  • Monitor crowd flow and behavior; identify potential risks such as overcrowding or disruptive conduct and intervene appropriately
  • Conduct patrols and surveillance of venue areas, both interior and exterior (as required), ensuring restricted zones are secure
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents; coordinate with law enforcement, medical, fire, or other emergency services
  • Assist attendees with customer service (ex. giving directions, assisting with venue navigation, liaising with event staff)
  • Report incidents, suspicious behaviors or security breaches promptly and accurately. Maintain logs and communicate with supervisory staff.
  • Pre-event and post-event duties as required: set up, venue inspection, debrief, exit flow management

Requirements:    

  • Valid BC Security License
  • Valid Basic First Aid / OFA1
  • Experience in large-scale event security (for example: 5 events with >1,000 attendees) OR one year of experience as a security supervisor
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving
  • Comfortable operating under pressure in crowded settings and with changing conditions
  • Must maintain a professional, alert presence, and work well in a team environment
  • Physical ability to complete the job duties, including but not limited to standing and patrolling for the majority of your shift
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
