The Robson Square Courthouse Site Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities and actions of the Security department with Robson Square tenants, sheriffs, CBRE Facility Manager, CBRE Project Coordinators, and different contractors. The Site Manager develops, organizes, and manages the security program and its daily operations in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, the Site Manager is responsible for the supervision and direction of all site assigned officers, training and orientation of all new officers, and performing additional tasks as requested by the Client Service Manager (CSM). The Site Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule. The Site Manager will ensure that the security team remains focused on providing the best customer service experience and always going the extra step to ensure that client and tenant needs are met. The Robson Square Courthouse is a high-profile site where customer service skills are essential. The site is very busy, and the ability to plan and multitask is essential for this role. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the site security officers plus special coverage and must be ready to handle the challenge of leading a dynamic team. This Site Manager position is ideal for a current Site Supervisor or Second in Command at a smaller site, who is looking to move up within Paladin Security and develop their skills with a greater challenge.

Pay Rate: $30.00/hour 

Schedule: This position will be scheduled for day shifts (0700-1500hrs) Monday through Friday, but will be required to receive after-hours calls 24/7/365.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide continued mentorship and coaching to Paladin team of Shift Supervisors and Security Officers 
  • Works closely with the Shift Supervisors and Portfolio Resource Coordinator to oversee staffing levels and maintain the site staffing schedule 
  • Conduct all site level interviews for prospective staff before initiating training to meet the highest standards for deployment 
  • Oversee that all Officer training requirements are completed 
  • Continually evaluate the site procedures and policies, and forward any recommendations to the manager
  • Manage assigned projects in a timely manner 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for security escalations during regular business hours and after-hours 
  • Read, review, and investigate reports of incidents documented by the security staff and ensure the appropriate departments are notified 
  • Attend monthly OH&S meetings 
  • Develop, administer, and oversee training for new site employees and refresher training for site employees 
  • Perform regular reviews of employee performance and site knowledge 
  • Request and maintain records of special coverage requirements; ensure that all temporary jobs have been approved for tenants before Paladin Operations creates the coverage in WinTeam scheduling software 
  • Ensure all Courthouse Clearance requests are processed in a timely manner 
  • Maintain and audit first aid equipment and send status reports to CSM
  • Conduct and oversee investigations into issues or incidents on site and provide complete and comprehensive reports to manager
  • Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting as directed by the client and Paladin Security management 
  • Serve as a link between tenants, members of the public, Paladin Security management, and the client 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the client and manager

 Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the security industry or related field, and experience with customer service and as a client liaison
  • One year of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Successful completion of the Paladin Supervisor and Leadership Development Training, or the willingness to complete this training
  • Preference will be given to candidates already acting in a supervisory role with Paladin at present, or who have acted in this capacity in recent history
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to understand complex scenarios, including emergency situations, and to come up with plans and procedures to effectively counter them
  • Confidence in dealing with HR issues and working with HR, and in effectively handling interpersonal issues
  • Effective succession planning at all levels of the team
  • Project planning and devising complex plans
  • Maintaining and increasing staff motivation and morale
  • Strong knowledge of access control, fire control, CCTV, and other site-related systems, and strong computer skills
