Position: Part Time - Security Guard - High Profile Location - Niagara Falls

Hours:  Saturday & Sunday (0800 - 2000)

Pay Rate: $18.75

Job Description:

The on-site high-profile security personnel will provide a variety of services, implementing the Client's security objectives according to policies and procedures which may include but are not limited to the following general tasks:

• Protect the safety of all persons and their belongings on client property
• Prevent and minimize incidents of fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespassing
• Enforce parking regulations, including tagging and/or towing unauthorized vehicles
• Control access to the property and ensure only authorized individuals enter secure areas
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the site
• Monitor security systems, including access control, elevators, and CCTV cameras
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations
• Complete incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation accurately
• Issue and manage access cards and keys for staff, contractors, and visitors as required
• Lock and unlock doors according to schedules or operational needs
• Identify and report any unusual occurrences or hazardous conditions
• Maintain accurate logs of all security-related incidents and activities
• Manage lost and found items, ensuring proper documentation and safekeeping
• Record all events in notebooks or electronic reporting systems
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License and Standard First Aid CPR C
• Minimum one year of experience working in security
• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
