Competencias Laborales / Requisitos
We are looking for a self-starter to effectively and efficiently operate, maintain and either repair or assist the Project Manager in coordinating the repair of all base-building infrastructure and infrastructure support systems and related equipment without limitation.
This is a 32BJ union position.
Pay is $32.70 per hour.Schedule: Mondays -Fridays 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM#FQM1
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities:- Performing routine inspections and repairs of plumbing, heating and electrical systems- Responding to Clients service requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner- Installing, assembling and fixing appliances, furniture and fixtures- Painting, patching and caulking walls, ceilings and floors- Cleaning and maintaining common areas, tools and equipment- Following building codes, safety regulations and quality standards- Reporting any major issues or damages to the supervisor or manager- Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies and materials- Coordinating with external contractors or vendors when needed- Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or managerRequirements:· - At least two years of experience as a handyman or in a similar role· - Working knowledge of plumbing, heating and electrical systems and tools· - Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting and masonry tasks· - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and instructions· - Ability to work independently or as part of a team· - Ability to lift and move heavy objects· - Good communication and interpersonal skills· - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills· - High school diploma or equivalent· - The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Experience: Minimum of one year of building operations and maintenance.Required: General Carpentry Skills
Working Environment (Approximate): Indoors - 80 % and Outdoors - 20 %
