Job Skills / Requirements
Loading Dock Operators assist in the daily management of deliveries and loading dock operations, ensuring safe and efficient access for personnel and vehicles while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor access and traffic within the loading dock areas
- Safely guide commercial vehicles to loading bays and assist with maneuvering
- Conduct equipment inspections and maintain reports
- Use delivery reservation systems and signalization tools to coordinate deliveries
- Assign and manage keys/access cards as directed
- Report building infractions, property damage, and safety hazards
- Assist tenants, delivery personnel, and public with dock-related questions
- Maintain daily operational logs and reports
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in logistics, warehouse, or loading dock operations
- Valid security license
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher
- Conflict Management and Resolution certificate preferred
- Strong report-writing and documentation skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs

- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance
- Teamwork and coordination with Dock Master and other personnel
Certification Requirements (All)
British Columbia Security License
