Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and reporting any suspicious or unusual activity. This position plays a key role in protecting personnel, property, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols (foot, vehicle, or cart) of assigned areas
- Monitor site activity and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns
- Control access points and verify authorized entry
- Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and detailed incident reports
- Respond to emergencies and provide support as needed
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures
- Monitor facility and truck yard activity to prevent unauthorized access
- Perform inspections of vehicles, buildings, and equipment
