Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Schuyler, NE

Schedule: All days and shifts available (Part-Time and Full-Time)

Pay Rate: Varies by site

Position Overview

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through active patrol, monitoring, and incident reporting. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

Essential Duties

• Conduct foot, vehicle, or other patrols of assigned areas
• Monitor premises and report suspicious activity, hazards, or security concerns
• Control access points and verify authorized entry
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and post orders
• Provide customer service and assistance to employees, visitors, and clients
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of work experience preferred
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain professional and handle high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screening (if required)
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
• Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures
• Participation in required training is mandatory

Work Environment

• Positions may include patrol, access control, customer service, or site-specific security functions
• Assignments vary by location and client needs

Education Requirements (Any)

HS Diploma
GED or H.S. Equivalent
