Gate Officer / Mobile Patrol

Location: York Haven, PA

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Position Summary:

Security Officers will continue supporting critical security operations at the facility. Officers in this role are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of personnel, contractors, equipment, and critical infrastructure. This position ensures operational continuity and compliance with site security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control: Monitor and control entry and exit points, including gate access, for employees, contractors, and visitors. Verify credentials and ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Patrols: Conduct routine mobile vehicle patrols and foot patrols of the facility, perimeter, and restricted areas. Observe and report unusual activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Monitoring Systems: Operate and monitor CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and other security technology. Report and escalate any anomalies promptly.
• Incident Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations, following established procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Provide clear reports to supervisors and support internal investigations as needed.
• Emergency Support: Assist with emergency response, including fire, medical, or safety events, in coordination with facility response teams.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other security personnel and plant staff to maintain a safe and secure working environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Current assignment as a Security Officer at this facility.
• Familiarity with site-specific security procedures and operational protocols.
• Valid driver’s license required for mobile vehicle patrols.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Reliable attendance and a strong performance record.
• Required security credentials and applicable training certifications.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong situational awareness, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and operate security equipment.

HS Diploma
GED or H.S. Equivalent
