INTERNAL JOB POSTING — UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Position Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Manassas, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Uniform: Standard security uniform required (company issued)

Position Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer position is available for current employees interested in continuing their assignment at the modern industrial facility. This position is open only to current employees (incumbents) who wish to retain or continue in their role as part of our internal security team.

Security Officers play a key role in ensuring the protection of company assets, employees, and visitors, as well as maintaining compliance with all company safety and security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol facility grounds, entrances, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and protect personnel and property.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security incidents to supervisors or management.
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and post orders consistently and fairly.
• Manage access control—verify employee, visitor, and contractor credentials as required.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or medical incidents according to site protocols.
• Maintain detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to all staff and visitors.
• Support the facility’s safety and emergency response programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid DCJS Unarmed Security Officer Registration (Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services) – Required.
• Must be a current employee in good standing (internal applicants only).
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform routine patrol duties.
• Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or corporate facility security.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Must be available to work flexible hours as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $20.00 per hour
• Eligible for company benefits (based on full-time/part-time status)
• Uniform and basic equipment provided
