Job Title: Unarmed Security Officers
Location: Cochise AZ
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: Daylight - This is a management role - flexibility is required outside of these hours.
- Position Overview:
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all security operations, personnel, and procedures at the Plant. This position ensures compliance with Company Security policies, client requirements, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines. The Supervisor will provide leadership to assigned officers, coordinate emergency response efforts, maintain site readiness, and serve as the primary point of contact between Security and site management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise, and support on-site security personnel assigned to the AEPCO Plant
- Ensure daily operational readiness and compliance with post orders, safety policies, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site audits, patrols, and quality control inspections
- Serve as the site liaison between Security and client leadership
- Coordinate incident response, investigations, and reporting
- Document and forward daily activity reports, incident logs, and security findings
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to security staff
- Create and maintain weekly schedules to ensure adequate site coverage
- Conduct onboarding and site orientation for new officers
- Communicate operational issues, risks, and recommendations to Operations Manager
- Manage access control systems, credentialing, and alarm response
- Assist with emergency drills and compliance inspections
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for site security
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in security operations; prior supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with power plant or industrial site security environments
- Understanding of safety protocols, emergency response, and incident documentation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage schedules, reports, and personnel actions
- Proficient in Field I.O., report writing, and communication tools
- Valid state security certification/licensure
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a PRA background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in critical infrastructure security
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- ICS/NIMS training or equivalent emergency management coursework
- Experience with Lenel access control panels, alarm systems, and VMS software
