Location: Wilmington, MA
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join the security team at a specialized research services and testing facility in Wilmington, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for current incumbent officers who are looking to continue their security career in a professional, highly controlled environment where attention to detail, discretion, professionalism, and strong documentation skills are essential.
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrols, observation, incident response, and accurate daily documentation. Officers will also conduct patrols between campus locations using a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional security presence and provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel.
- Monitor and control access to the facility in accordance with established site procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus and between designated campus locations using a company vehicle.
- Monitor for and report safety, security, or policy concerns.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and other security-related situations.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, reports, and other required documentation.
- Document observations and incidents thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Follow all site-specific security procedures, policies, and post orders.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel, security leadership, and other authorized contacts.
Qualifications
- Previous security experience is required.
- Experience in a laboratory, medical, healthcare, research, or similarly controlled environment is strongly preferred.
- Security gatehouse or vehicle access-control experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required; MVR will be conducted.
- Comfortable operating a company vehicle for required campus patrols.
- Computer literacy and the ability to accurately use electronic systems for reporting and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when completing reports, logs, and daily documentation.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to remain alert, observant, and responsive throughout the assigned shift.
Internal Incumbent Requirement
This opportunity is open to current incumbent Security Officers only. Candidates must meet the qualifications and requirements of the position and successfully complete any required site-specific screening, training, and onboarding requirements.
