Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-1:15PM
Rate of Pay: $15.22-$17/hour based on experience

Job Summary
The CEDARS Northbridge Early Childhood Development Center is seeking a Nutrition Specialist II that is a self-motivated, positive person with a passion and desire to serve nutritious meals and maintain a clean environment.

The Nutrition Specialist II is responsible for assisting and executing all aspects of the USDA food program for children ages six weeks to five years old. Includes meal preparation, service, clean-up, inventory, and order placing as directed. Maintain sanitary work conditions for all food areas and appliances. This position must stay in compliance with the Nebraska Food Code and USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards.   

Job Skills / Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. 
  • Knowledge of food nutrition, preparation, safety, and experience working in food service.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must have or obtain a Food Handler's Permit (Prep Cook) within 30 days.
  • Detail-orientated, self-directed, and flexible.
  • Possess excellent communication along with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as under the direction of several staff.
  • Possess concrete problem-solving skills and must be able to identify what needs to be done and the most efficient way to complete it.
 

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma or GED Required
