Reports To: Staff Development Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM

The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting all activities related to pre-service training and ongoing professional development for employees and foster parents.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training opportunities for employees and foster parents. 
  • Serve as an internal resource to employees and supervisors regarding clarification and interpretation of training materials and practices.  
  • Assist in researching, developing, and coordinating new professional development opportunities as well as conducting regular reviews of existing training curriculum.  
  • Maintain the agency’s training database to ensure compliance and notify Staff Development Manager and program supervisors of any non-compliance issues.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. 
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of CEDARS. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients served by this organization and professional boundaries in the provision of services. Treat all clients with dignity and respect.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, human services, or a related field.
  • Strong presentation skills.  
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • A genuine interest in and concern for all youth and families. 
  • Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the clients and families CEDARS serves.  
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written directions. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. 
  • Must have flexibility on the evenings/weekends for additional training opportunities. 
  • Must be willing to become trained and hold multiple certifications that aid in providing additional training opportunities for all employees and foster parents.
