Reports To: Executive Vice President of Service Delivery
Classification: Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, on call rotation with some evenings.
Job Summary
The Program Director is responsible for all daily operations and oversight of his/her assigned program activities. Responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of quality services, supervision of program staff, fiscal management, program development and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Direct the program according to the mission, goals and policies and procedures of CEDARS Youth Services.
- Direct and coordinate quality services for children and youth in assigned program. Be responsible for ensuring that the program environment is safe, therapeutic, developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive.
- In collaboration with Human resources, be responsible for the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of the program staff.
- In conjunction with the Continuous Quality Improvement team, plan and facilitate program developments and quality improvement activities.
- Along with the Service Director, prepare the annual program budget. Monitor monthly census, revenue and expenses for the program.
- Be responsible for program compliance with all licensing standards and assisting in agency accreditation.
- Prepare reports of program services and administrative functions.
- Participate in grant projects as assigned.
- Responsible for facility upkeep and cleanliness.
- Participate in on-going professional development.
- Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and parents/legal guardians.
- Represent CEDARS Youth Services at community meetings and associations as assigned. Provide information about CEDARS Youth Services’ programs and services.
- Participate in On-Call weekend/holiday supervision rotation.
- Perform other appropriate assignments as directed.
- Maintain professional boundaries in the provision of services and supervision of employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology or closely related field. A graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Must have a genuine interest in and concern for all youth and families.
- Strong relationship skills, organizational and communication skills.
- Sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the clients and families we serve.
- Ability to provide effective leadership that fosters teamwork within and across programs.
- Experience providing crisis support and management.
- Knowledge and experience providing trauma-informed care.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
