Classification: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM

Rate of Pay: 21.80/hour

Job Summary

CEDARS accounting department is seeking a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills and a penchant for detail. This position is designed for flexibility, with a portion of time allocated to assisting accounting team members meet deadlines, and the majority of time devoted to processing Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities

  • Use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in day-to-day work functions with one or more of the following WinTeam software modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and/or Payroll
  • Accurately code and pay invoices for two companies and multiple cost centers
  • Recognize and update changes in payment splits and program shifts
  • Track, calculate, and prepare payments for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual processes
  • Reconcile, record, and pay credit cards
  • Obtain proper documentation and enforce procedural compliance
  • Compare data sources to detect errors and discrepancies
  • Perform timely account reconciliations for all related general ledger accounts to ensure the integrity of work performed
  • Provide general accounting support to all programs
  • Electronically file documents in accordance with established procedures

Requirements:

  • Associate degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business, or finance. 
  • High level of professionalism and good judgement in confidential situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Detailed-Orientated and a self-starter
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient or advanced skill in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook),Adobe Pro,online calendars, cloud system and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Team player who is trustworthy and enjoys collaborating and strategizing with other team members
  • Works well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Take pride in delivering excellent internal and external customer service
  • You provide clear, concise, and friendly written and verbal communication 
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong commitment to the mission and goals of CEDARS.
