Job Summary:

5:00pm-1:30am
Up to $20.00 per hour depending on experience
Valid drivers license preferred

Our Floor Technicians/Facilities Specialists clean floors and carpeted areas for large facilities and organizations, such as hospitals, businesses, schools, and gymnasiums. This job involves identifying damage or areas in need of repairs, organizing supplies and equipment, and receiving parts from orders and assembling equipment for clients. Most work will be indoors, and regular travel is required to different locations via a company vehicle.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Regular use of medium to heavy equipment such as low speed and high speed buffers, carpet extractor, and other hands on equipment.
  • Performing deep clean services such as buffing to increase longevity and shine.
  • Stripping – involves completely removing old wax, soil and debris found on designated floors.
  • Waxing – method of cleaning and polishing floors that not only gives them a renewed shine, but also helps to protect them from more damage.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of travel vehicle and work spaces.
  • Travel to different account locations to perform duties.
  • Resupply/restock and supplies as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures
  • Maintain company standards and programs for safety and security
  • Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards with minimal supervision
  • Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect
  • Maintain good communication with your supervisor and other employees
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Communicate any needed supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and/or maintenance work needed to your supervisor
  • Maintain a quality of performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Good organization and time-management skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to traverse work site and transport equipment used for completing job functions
  • Ability to position self to reach areas both below waist level to the floor and above their head
  • Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work area to identify potential opportunities and concerns.
  • Ability to transport up to 50lbs through work site as needed
  • Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants
  • Must meet minimum age requirements
